2010 Season Info - Juniors

Sign-On

The 2010 Season Sign-on days will be on the following dates:-
  • Saturday, 30th January from 8:30am -> 2:30pm, and
  • Sunday, 31st January from 8:30am -> 2:30pm, and
  • Saturday, 6th February from 8:30am -> 2:30pm
However, we will still sign-on new players well into the season if there are positions available in teams, so please don't hesitate to contact our Registrar, Peter KORTGE.

Sign-ons can be done every Tuesday and Thursday evening at the Clubhouse between 6:00pm -> 7:30pm, or on Saturday morning between 8:00am -> 9:00am.

Team Nominations

Teams need to be nominated to Football Brisbane Inc. by 9:00am Friday, 26th February.

Play Dates

All games are played on a Saturday with younger ages usually earlier in the day.

Games normally alternate each weekend between "At Home" (at Greenbank) or "Away" (at clubs in our local "hub" #).

# In the 2009 Season, the clubs in our local "hub" were Jimboomba, Regents Park & Teviot Downs.

Clubs in the 2010 season "hub" have yet to be decided.

Training

Training is Tuesday afternoons for Optus SSF teams and Tuesday & Thursday afternoons for Juniors.

Equipment

Essential Equipment

All players are required to wear:-

  • GFC licenced club Match socks, and
  • GFC licenced club Match shorts, and
  • Football boots with moulded studs, and
  • Shin Pads

to all match games and training sessions and these items can all be purchased from the club.

† These items must be purchased from the club!

Pricing is as follows:-

  • GFC licenced club Match socks @ $10
  • GFC licenced club Match shorts @ $20
  • Shin Pads @ $10, or $15 with ankle support
  • Football Boots @ $20 (sizes 1 -> 6) and $25 (sizes 7 -> 12).
    Note: All Uhlsport brand Football boots are $35 while stocks last.

Optional Equipment

Optional equipment available for purchase at the club:-

  • GFC licensed Training Jersey @ $20 ($15 if bought at same time as your Match shorts)
  • Boot bag @ $10
  • Footballs (size 3, 4 & 5) @ $20

Kit

Shortly after Sign-on, each player will get a free:-
  • Green/Gold Carry Bag, and
  • Size 3 or size 4 Football.

Fees

Registration Fees

Optus Small Sided Football (SSF) Juniors | U6 -> U10's
  • $120.00
    for the first child
Divisional Juniors | U11 -> U16's
  • $130.00
    for the first child

Pricing for additional sibling children is as follows:-

  • Squirts (U3 -> U5's) = $70 for each sibling
  • Optus Small Sided Football (U6/U7/U8/U9's & U10's) = $110 for each sibling
  • Divisional Juniors (U11's & ups) = $115 for each sibling.

What Our Registration Fees Cover

Our Registration fee structure includes the following extras:-
  • 1 year's Family Membership to the Greenbank Sport & Recreation Club
  • Green/Gold Carry Bag and a size 3 or size 4 Football.
  • A Trophy at the End of Year Presentation Day
  • Free access for each playing child to all Carnival rides at the Presentation Day.
† It also includes a $20 "Player Field Levy" component.

This levy is paid to the Greenbank Sport & Recreation Club Inc. and goes towards the cost of employing the Groundsman.

Game Fees

  • $7 each player per game.
The money is:-
  • Collected by Team Manager each Saturday.
  • Receipted by Club Treasurer either after the Game, or if at an "Away Game", the following Tuesday at Training.

Social Fees

Each team will decide:-

  • if they will collect the fee,
  • how much it will be (e.g. $1 or $2 etc. per player per week), and
  • how they will spend it at the end of the Season.

The money is:-

  • Collected by Team Manager each Saturday.
  • Receipted by Club Treasurer either after the Game, or if at an "Away Game", the following Tuesday at Training.

Wet Weather Line

Football Brisbane's phone system for wet weather cancellations has been discontinued (from June 2010).

It is the Team Coach or Manager's responsibility to visit FBI's website for cancellations and then advise their team.

Our club will also update this website with any changes as information becomes available.
