Juniors
It is club policy that all players be given an equal amount of playing time during the season, as far as it is practicable, allowing for holidays and illness. Note: A player's age is determined by the age they turn in a Calendar year, so if your child is seven now but turns eight on or before 31 December this year, then they are an U8 player.

Team Structures

Optus Small Sided Football (aka SSF) - previously Small Sided Games

Small Sided Games was introduced in the 2008 Football Season for the U6's, U7's & U8's.

  • In 2009 it was renamed Optus Small Sided Football (aka SSF) and introduced for U9's,
  • In 2010 it will be introduced for U10's,
  • In 2011 it will be introduced for U11's, &
  • In 2012 it will be introduced for U12's.

On 2nd September 2009, Football Federation Australia adjusted the Optus Small-Sided Football Formats for the season commencing 2010 and beyond.

Wet Weather Line

Football Brisbane's phone system for wet weather cancellations has been discontinued (from June 2010).

It is the Team Coach or Manager's responsibility to visit FBI's website for cancellations and then advise their team.
