2008 President's Address
Welcome to our continuing members and all our new members.

Since the end of the 2007 season there have been several exciting developments at Greenbank which are expected to enhance player development and enjoyment.

We will commence the 2008 season operating out of the new Greenbank Sport & Recreation Amenities Building and will be using its range of facilities. We will also be playing on new fields at the top of the hill, closer to the new Amenities building.

We have a new Management Committee who are keen to hear your ideas and indeed enlist any assistance you have to offer. Please contact me if you have any issues during the season. The success of any club is dependent upon volunteers and I encourage all members to become involved. If you have ever considered Coaching or Managing a Team, now is the opportunity to unleash those ambitions.

My goals for the 2008 Football Season are:-
  • To ensure the club enjoys a fine reputation as a place where sportsmanship and club spirit are paramount and to "grow" our club by:-
    • expanding the number of teams
    • training & certifying more Coaches and Referees
    • getting more people involved with all aspects of the club.
  • To forge better ties and much closer relationships with the Greenbank Sport & Recreation Club Inc. by:-
    • having our Executive Committee members attend all their monthly General Meetings,
    • assisting them with their "Working Bees", and
    • having our members support and patronise their club.
  • Rebuild our relations with the Greenbank Senior Men's & Women's Football Club so that we have a symbiotic relationship.
Please take the time to read through the Policy section as it contains a lot of useful information about the way Football and Greenbank Football Club operates.

To be a part of this ethos I encourage all of you to attend as many games, social functions and General Meetings as possible and also to assist the club with its ongoing fundraising and "Working Bee" efforts.
