2009 SSG Carnival
Our 2nd Annual SSG carnival for U6, U7 & U8's was an outstanding success.
Twenty eight (28) teams played sixty seven (67) games over the day. The weather was fine and both players & parents had a great time.
Some participants stated that the combined day was "bigger than the recent Greenbank Show".
The only thing that detracted from the day being perfect was the fact that the Greenbank Car Show & Swap Meet was scheduled for the same day and they took up all of field #1 - thus denying us the use of our main field which effected our match draws. Also, with Rugby League having their usual Sunday "At home" games on their fields, parking was at a premium and getting a park anywhere near the fields was impossible from 6:00am onwards.
The club's thanks go to the volunteers who helped with the setup and running of the day, and to Greenbank Rugby League who ran the canteen for the whole the day.
