2008 Season Info

Sign-On

The 2008 Season Sign-on days were on the following dates:-
  • Saturday, 2nd Feb from 8:30am -> 2:30pm, and
  • Saturday, 9th Feb from 8:30am -> 2:30pm
However, we will still sign-on new players well into the season if there are positions available in teams, so please don't hesitate to contact our Registrar.

Teams

In the 2008 Football season we had nine teams competing in the Junior (Small Sided Games) & Rooball divisions of Football Brisbane Inc.:-

  • Two U6 teams - the "Brumbies" and the "Redbacks"
  • Two U7 teams - the "Colts" and the "Emus"
  • Two U8 teams - the "Dragons" and the "Wombats"
  • One U9 team - the "Falcons"
  • Two U10 teams - the "Bandicoots" and the "Goannas"
plus three (3 -> 5 year olds) teams playing under Football Queensland's Squirts Program.

Fees

Registration Fees

  • Squirts (U3 -> U5) = $65 for 1st child, then $55 for each sibling.
  • Rooball (U6 -> U10) = $100 for 1st child, then $90 for each sibling.
  • Divisional (U11's & up) = $100 for 1st child, then $90 for each sibling.
Each player received a free:-
  • Bag (U5's a small bag, everyone else a large bag), and
  • Football (size will depend on child's age).

Game Fees

  • Squirts (U3 -> U5) = $5 each player per game.
  • Rooball (U6 -> U10) = $7 each player per game.
  • Divisional (U11's & up) = $7 each player per game.
The money was:-
  • Collected by Team Manager each Saturday.
  • Receipted by Club Treasurer either after the Game, or if at an "Away Game", the following Tuesday at Training.

Social Fees

Each team decided:-
  • if they wanted to collect the fee,
  • how much it was (e.g. $1 or $2 etc. per player per week), and
  • how they spent it at the end of the Season.
The money was:-
  • Collected by Team Manager each Saturday.
  • Receipted by Club Treasurer either after the Game, or if at an "Away Game", the following Tuesday at Training.
